Ben's past endeavors include equity sales, trading, and research in the US and Asia, working as a professional actor, and self-publishing The Last Generation which hit number one on Amazon for Teen & Young Adult Historical Fiction.
Ben began his career as a Series 7 licensed representative leading Chase Manhattan Bank's Personal Banking division for highest sales in New York City, then went on to join the #1 ranked ABN Amro Asia equity research team in Taiwan. He received an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business where he lead the first-place winning team in the Edward L. Kaplan New Venture Challenge. He joined Daruma Capital Management after Booth, as an analyst for a top performing, concentrated US small-cap value portfolio with $1 billion in assets. Ben left Daruma in 2005 and started Menadena in 2006 as a business consultancy, with early projects including an investment fund in Berlin, Germany, and Fuel Bio, the largest biodiesel manufacturer on the East Coast.
Ben started working as a professional actor in 2009, and won the New Hampshire Film Festival Performance of the Year award for short film Anywhere But Here (2011). Published The Last Generation in 2014, a young adult historical novel about the Inuit and the Greenland Norse, and a best-seller on Amazon (Sep. 2014).
